This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to nationally significant programmes within a university renowned for forestry education.</p><p>Based at our Ambleside campus, you will become part of a dedicated forestry team that blends academic expertise with professional forest management experience. The team collaborates closely with colleagues in Conservation, Geography, and Outdoor Learning, and benefits from the University&#39;s location in the heart of the Lake District, with access to exceptional field sites including our own area of semi-natural woodland.</p><p>The University of Cumbria is home to the National School of Forestry, which has been delivering professional forestry courses for over 50 years. Our work includes a growing portfolio of research and knowledge exchange projects, and we maintain strong links with the forestry sector and the Institute of Chartered Foresters.</p><p>As Link Tutor, you will take primary responsibility for tracking apprentice progression and play a key role in employer liaison, ensuring productive, collaborative relationships. Your work will foster a culture of progression within our apprenticeship programme&mdash;one that generates recognition, respect, and engagement from employer partners.</p><p>We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds. Experience in forestry and/or teaching is not essential; you must have a first and/or higher degree and a strong commitment to supporting the education and training of others.
