We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Lecturer in Midwifery to join our academic team, to be based at our Lancaster campus but working across our campuses. This is an exciting opportunity to support the education of future midwives while contributing to innovative midwifery programmes that respond to the needs of healthcare services and communities.
You will contribute to teaching and learning across a range of programmes including BSc (Hons) Midwifery and BSc (Hons) Midwifery Degree Apprenticeship. Working collaboratively with colleagues and practice partners, you will help deliver high-quality teaching, support students’ professional development and contribute to curriculum innovation.
As a Lecturer in Midwifery, you will:
- Deliver engaging teaching in a range of settings including lectures, seminars and skills sessions
- Act as a module leader and support curriculum development
- Support student through the roles of Academic Assessor and Personal Tutor
- Supervise student projects where appropriate
- Contribute to scholarly activity and the development of evidence-informed teaching
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and healthcare partners
- Participate in recruitment activities such as open days and applicant interviews
- Play an important role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that inspires students and prepares them for contemporary midwifery practice.
