Mental Health and Wellbeing Manager

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Manager will oversee and manage a high functioning student mental health and wellbeing service within the University, ensuring that the service meets the key priority delivery areas and is delivered to required timescales.  The Mental Health and Wellbeing Manager will lead the team providing specialist mental health and wellbeing support and resources for students, maximising their student experience. Working within the wider context of the Student Services Directorate, they will establish and maintain close links with related student and staff support teams.

The role-holder will provide proven expert guidance and specialist expertise in the areas of student mental health and welfare incidents, ensuring an excellent support service is delivered to students in line with the University’s strategy.

The ideal candidate will be passionate and committed about supporting students.  They will also need to be able to manage competing priorities effectively and to remain calm when dealing with students in distress. 

This role requires satisfactory clearance by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) at an enhanced level.
