SITS Senior System Developer

We are the University of Cumbria, for and from Cumbria and our localities, rooted in serving our communities, with people, place and partnership at our heart.

Now is a very exciting time to be joining us because we are delivering a new "Towards 2030" strategic plan focused on making the most of our three most valuable assets; People, Place and Partnerships, to become a catalyst for economic well-being for our region, nationally and internationally.

We are seeking a SITS Senior System Developer to join our SITS team to strengthen the Student Systems and Data grouping within the Academic Registry.

This senior post will be the strategic lead for the development and maintenance of the University’s Student Record System (Tribal SITS) for use by applicants, students and staff.

You will have a critical role in shaping and influencing systems developments through the prioritisation of a Student Roadmap to underpin the achievement of the University’s strategic ambitions. Development of the system’s self-service functionality is essential to deliver a positive experience for all system users and to maximise the efficiency of our operational working practices.

You will be responsible for initiating and leading development work, influencing strategic projects and decisions, implementing change and carrying out ongoing systems maintenance to support the University’s annual business cycle and priorities. You will also manage the SITS Student Developer post which is being advertised at the same time.

The SITS team takes great pride in providing excellent customer service with a positive and forward-looking approach. The successful applicant will have a comprehensive understanding of SITS and be an authority on SITS applications. You will demonstrate excellent technical competence, strong networking skills and be able to engage effectively with staff, suppliers and stakeholders.
