Senior Research Fellow Mental Health

We are the University of Cumbria, a place where people are at the heart of all we do. Enriching the lives of our students, staff and the communities we serve means we make a difference that really matters.

Now is a very exciting time to be joining us as we deliver a new strategic plan focused on making the most of our three most valuable assets: People, Place and Partnerships. Our ambition is to become a catalyst for economic well-being for our region, nationally and internationally.

We are delighted to announce that we are seeking to appoint a Senior Research Fellow to join the University of Cumbria’s Institute of Health as part of the prestigious NIHR Mental Health Leader’s Award. This award supports the development of mental health research capacity and leadership across Cumbria, with a particular focus on addressing inequalities in mental health and improving outcomes for individuals and communities.

The successful applicant will work closely with the project leads and wider mental health research team, providing support across a range of research and management activities. This will include conducting literature reviews, co-ordinating the award, supporting and writing grant applications, assisting with data collection and analysis, preparing reports or presentations and supporting stakeholder engagement with local communities and partners.
