Senior Research Fellow

We are the University of Cumbria, for and from Cumbria and our localities, rooted in serving our communities, with people, place and partnership at our heart.

Now is a very exciting time to be joining us because we are delivering a new "Towards 2030" strategic plan focused on making the most of our three most valuable assets; People, Place and Partnerships, to become a catalyst for economic well-being for our region, nationally and internationally.

The National Lottery Community Fund funded Our Bay, Our Future evaluation will support more than 5000 local young people to gain access to new climate action projects designed to grow the skills needed to care for Morecambe Bay and secure local ‘green jobs’.

Evaluation of the programme will be led by the Health and Social Knowledge Exchange (HASKE) an established research and evaluation unit based at the University of Cumbria; with support from the in-house research team at University of Lancaster.

The evaluation requires a Senior Research Fellow, with mentoring support, to deliver monitoring and evaluation of the programme’s nine strands, delivering reports and dissemination outputs where appropriate.

Informal Enquiries: Prof. Tom Grimwood | Professor of Social Philosophy, Health and Social Knowledge Exchange (HASKE) | Tom.Grimwood@cumbria.ac.uk

In return, the University offers an attractive benefits package including 35 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, support for professional development, support to achieve Higher Education Academy/Advance HE accreditation, mentor provision in the first year of employment and opportunity for career development.
