Library housekeeping duties include shelving, stock checking and tidying and helping students to locate resources.</p><p>The standard working pattern is 17 hours per week; 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday &ndash; Tuesday. In this role, you will support the delivery of a high-quality placement service for students, academic staff and placement providers, managing administrative activity across the full student placement journey and helping to ensure quality assurance, compliance and excellent customer service.</p><p>You will plan and coordinate placement activity across designated academic programmes, maintain accurate placement records using systems such as InPlace and PARE, support the preparation of reports and documentation, and help ensure that placement processes run efficiently and effectively.</p><p>Working closely with students, programme teams, placement providers and external partners, you will act as a key point of contact for placement enquiries, build strong working relationships, communicate clearly and professionally, and respond sensitively to student concerns where appropriate.</p><p>The role also involves maintaining and updating placement management systems, monitoring placement hours and data, supporting service improvements, and contributing to operational activities such as meetings, student-facing events, Welcome Week preparation, and associated placement logistics.</p><p>We are looking for someone educated to RQF Level 3 (A Level, Scottish Higher or equivalent) or with equivalent experience, with previous experience in a relevant administrative role involving information management systems. The first students joined the 4-year post graduate MBBS programme in 2025/26. Applying the University of Cumbria&rsquo;s experience in training nurses, midwives and other professions allied to medicine, alongside Imperial&rsquo;s expertise in medical education, the School&rsquo;s aim is to train doctors who are embedded in their local community ready to contribute to services across the region and beyond.</p><p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join PCSM. &nbsp;As Programme and Assessment Officer you will have responsibility for the day to day planning and delivery of all operational aspects for two-years of the MBBS medical degree programme, working closely with the academic team and with support from a Programme and Assessment Officer working on the other two-years of the MBBS and the Programme Administrator. You will take a key role in identifying, planning and implementing our approach to programme and assessment administration.
