You will be part of a small team and work alongside two other HR Business Partners, a Senior HR Business Partner and the wider HR team in the provision of professional HR advice and support. You will support both academic and professional services business areas to identify workforce issues and develop appropriate business focused HR interventions.
The role provides generalist HR support to managers offering advice regarding workforce planning, terms and conditions of employment and supporting a range of employee relations case work including; disciplinary, grievance, performance management, and sickness absence management. You will also support the staff engagement and organisational development agendas and attend relevant management meetings in the areas you work with to provide strategic level advice and guidance.
You will have proven experience of working in a busy HR Department, preferably in an HEI environment, possessing an excellent knowledge of current UK employment legislation. You will demonstrate experience in supporting a variety of employee relations case work and have participated in hearings providing professional advice and support.
With a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent relevant professional qualification, you will ideally be a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development having successfully completed to Level 7 CIPD qualification (or equivalent).
Using your ability to develop and maintain relationships, you will analyse and provide key and strategic level information to managers, to enable them to manage their workforce effectively.
An excellent communicator, you will have the ability to develop and maintain relationships across a wide range of managers and staff at all levels.
