As part of our new Towards 2030 Strategy, the University have invested in a Centre for Digital Transformation (CDT) and is now seeking to recruit a Business Digital Transformation Officer, to proactively contribute to realising digital change across our region. Successful candidates will have an established and emergent view of business digital transformation, and the digital knowledge and skills to support employers and employees to digitally develop. They will be dynamic, driven, and creative individuals who will proactively help to shape and develop the University of Cumbria’s portfolio offer, using a real-world relevant and evidence-informed digital lens.
Working with and reporting to the Director of the CDT and the Institute of Industry, Business, and Leadership (IBIL) CPD manager, the Business Digital Transformation Officer will proactively collaborate with IBIL colleagues to co-design programmes and courses that result in more digitally enabled businesses and more digitally capable employees. Developing digital expertise and aspirations of new and existing business partners will help the University to fulfil its ambition to build a more digital future workforce. By enabling digital development of employers and employees, the CDT Team will assist the University to contribute to creating a more digital economy.
Contract:
1 x 0.8 fixed-term contract ending Feb 2025, with a focus on business and industry digital transformation, including employee digital upskilling, reskilling, and CPD.
Location: the available role can be Lancaster or Carlisle campus based, with some opportunity for hybrid working – dictated by business need.
