We are the University of Cumbria, for and from Cumbria and our localities, rooted in serving our communities, with people, place and partnership at our heart.
Now is a very exciting time to be joining us because we are delivering a new "Towards 2030" strategic plan focused on making the most of our three most valuable assets; People, Place and Partnerships, to become a catalyst for economic well-being for our region, nationally and internationally.
We are currently looking to recruit a support worker/job aide for an existing member of the Medical Medical Sciences lecturing team using funding secured from an DWP Access to Work Grant. The role is to help the team member with some of the more demanding aspects of their role e.g. travel to Carlisle, teaching, marking or a combination of these activities. Other aspects could also be included also e.g. marking/interviews/module leadership but all this needs be planned for and negotiated with the current role holder. The idea is that we can reduce the total work burden and build in rest periods during the working week. There may be scope for making the role flexible to take into account peak working periods.
We are seeking innovative, creative, high quality researchers, and scholars to foster a culture of exploration, discovery and intellectual challenge that generates international recognition, respect and engagement.
